ACLS Prep Course

This four-hour course prepares the participant for the two-day ACLS course. Our objective is to help the participant focus their areas of study to enhance the learning that will take place in the actual two-day course.

 

The course consists of: basic EKG overview; AHA ACLS approach & station expectations; hands-on practice of equipment.

 

Cost: $35 (course handouts not included in fee)
Course length: 5.5 hours (typically 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.)

ACLS 2-Day Provider Course

This American Heart Association course targets all healthcare providers who require the knowledge and skills of Advanced Cardiac Life Support. The objectives of this course are that the participant will be able to:

This interactive course is presented with lectures, stations and accelerated learning tools.  Attendance both days is required. Participants who pass both the written and practical portions of the course will receive an AHA ACLS Credential Card and 12 CEU’s. A current BLS Healthcare Provider Card is required for all participants in order to attend class. Pre-course preparation is required.

 

Cost: $170 (text not included in fee)
Time: Day one 8.5 hours (typically 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.); Day two 7.5 hours (typically 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.)

ACLS Renewal Course

This AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support course is for the experienced provider only.  This course is designed to:

Participants who pass both the written and practical portions of the course will receive an AHA ACLS Credential Card. No CEU’s are offered for this course. A current BLS Healthcare Provider Card is required for all participants in order to attend class. Pre-course preparation is required.

 

Cost: $55 (text not included in fee)
Time: 7 hours (typically 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.)

CPR for Healthcare Provider-Renewal

This 4-hour AHA CPR healthcare renewal course is offered at least once a month on either a Friday morning or Tuesday evening. Participants will be expected to come prepared to have their performance skills checked off in adult, child & infant modules including the AED.  A written test is also administered. Participants who pass both the performance and written tests will receive an AHA credential Healthcare Provider card. No CEU’s are given. Course preparation is required.

 

Cost: $40 (text and study guide not included in fee)
Times: 4 hours (typically 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. or 5:30 to 9:30 p.m.)

Cardiac Rhythm Interpretation Class

This 16-hour course introduces basic cardiac dysrhythmia interpretation to the health care provider.  This interactive class includes lecture and practice rhythm interpretation.  Participants who pass the written post-test will receive 15 CEU’s.  Pre-course preparation is required.

 
Cost:  $180 (materials included in fee)
Time:  16 hours (typically 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. over two days)

NRP Initial Course

This eight-hour program is designed to provide staff with advanced theory and practice for use of resuscitation techniques for neonates.  The class format includes slide presentations, videos, discussion, and skill demonstration.  There will be testing of performance skills as well as written tests.  Participants who pass will receive a course completion card as well as 8 CEU’s. Class preparation is required. 

 

Cost: $100 (text not included in fee)
Time: 8 hours (typically 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.)

NRP Renewal Course

This four-hour program is designed to provide staff with a review of advanced theory and practice of resuscitation techniques for neonates.  The class format includes slide presentations, videos, discussion and skill demonstration.  There will be testing of performance skills as well as written tests.  Participants who pass will receive a course completion card.  No CEU’s are given. PALS 2-Day Provider Course

 

This American Heart Association Pediatric Advance Life Support course targets all healthcare providers who require the knowledge and skills of Pediatric Advanced Life Support. This program will provide the participant with information needed to recognize infants and children at risk for cardiopulmonary arrest and strategies needed to prevent cardiopulmonary arrest in the pediatric patient. The course is presented through lectures, skill and scenario stations and accelerated learning tools. Participants who pass both the written and practical portions of the course will receive an AHA PALS Credential Card and 14 CEU's. A current BLS Healthcare Provider Card is required for all participants in order to attend class. Pre-course preparation is required.

PALS Renewal Course

 

This American Heart Association Pediatric Advance Life Support course is for the experienced provider only. The course is designed to update the partcipant on the new guidelines, review pertinent course material and verify knowledge and skills by performance and written tests. Basic arrhythmia interpretation is essential to successful completion. No skills remediation will be given. Participants who pass both the written and practical portions of the course will receive an AHA BAOS credential card. No CEU's are offered for a renewal course. Participants must have current PALS texts in order to attend class.

 

Cost: $55 (text not included in fee)

Time: 9 hours (typically 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.)
